Introduction

This bibliography is substantially based on:

Øhrstrøm, P.; Flo, Olav: Bibliography of A. N. Prior's Philosophical Writings. In Copeland, Jack (editor): 1996, Logic and Reality: Essays on the Legacy of Arthur Prior, Oxford University Press/Clarendon Press, pp. 519 – 532.

That bibliography, in turn, was largely based on Olav Flo's 1970-bibliography (as also made clear by Peter Øhrstrøm's Introduction below):

Flo, Olav: 1970, Bibliography of Prior's Philosophical Writings, Theoria (36), pp. 189 – 213.

This version nevertheless does contain a number of corrections, and when seen in combination with Additions to bibliography it does provide a significantly fuller bibliography. (See also the Introduction to Additions to bibliography). It is the intention to produce a final bibliography, when the additions have all been certified.

The referencing system is the same as the one used by Øhrstrøm/Flo, as explained in Øhrstrøm's introduction.
--- Per Hasle

Peter Øhrstrøm's introduction to the 1996-Bibliography
(from Copeland 1996, p. 519):

In 1970, the year after Prior's death, the Swedish journal Theoria published a collection of papers in his honour. This collection also included a bibliography of Prior's philosophical writings compiled by the late Olav Flo, of the University of Bergen, Norway. (Flo died in 1989.) An amount of Prior's works has appeared subsequently. It has also been possible to locate a small number of papers published prior to 1970 that were not included in Flo's bibliography.

In have retained Flo's overall framework and his referencing system. Thus, for example, the reference '1937a' denotes the same paper in both the updated and the original bibliography.
